JOIN RUSS BAKER IN LA

Please join award-winning investigative journalist and author Russ Baker for a talk, reading and signing of his book Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, America’s Invisible Government, and the Hidden History of the Past Fifty Years. Baker’s work has been praised by Gore Vidal, who calls it one of the most important books of the decade, as well as by Dan Rather and Bill Moyers. Full of stunning major revelations and characterized by massive, rigorous documentation, Family of Secrets will change the way you view power in America.

Baker will talk about the story we missed explaining the Bush phenomenon, about continuities between Bush and Obama administrations—and why significant change is so hard to achieve. He will also speak about the new nonprofit investigative news site www.whowhatwhy.org and its aspirations to change how we cover the events that influence our lives and our world.

Baker’s talk will be followed by an extended question and answer session and then a signing.

Hello, I am reading Family of Secrets and oh my gosh, what a history. I went to Barnes and Noble to get the book and they had it in their regular section it was not on the front tables in multiple copies, WHAT A SHAME. It is so much information and in a few words it is amazing. I often wondered and suspected that the Kennedy assassination had political background not just the act of one man. I think there needs to be more uncovering of this kind of information but I wonder why it is not discussed more. Thanks for writing the book. I have one suggestion to get more folks to read the book and for those who balk at reading in depth, write a shorter version and summarize the information and if they want facts they should read the larger book. Keep on writing. Thanks
