By the way, my brother in law as an officer in the 187th Air Wing in Birmingham in Bush’s days. He asked once who this guy was, and why was he taking up a pilot’s billet, when others were waiting for a billet. He was told to “Forget it … his old man was some sort of Washington big shot.”
